As a BSA/AML officer you are responsible for developing and administering a program that encompasses the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), anti-money laundering (AML), and countering the financing of terrorism (CFT). The program should identify your institution’s risks and provide adequate controls, monitoring processes, independent audits, and ongoing staff and director training. Wrapping your arms around all of these facets can seem like a daunting task. What should you focus on? What are the highest-risk areas? When is your next exam? How did the last exam go? How should new rules and updated procedures be communicated to staff and the board? How do you learn about new rules? This session will help answer these questions and more.
